September 9, 2022 at 4:58 pm

In its third annual event, Run for the Fallen Colorado & Honor and Remember - CO Chapter are partnering with Honor and Remember Inc. in a special tribute of gratitude and honor for the men and women who have died in military service to America during the Global War on Terror and to Colorado’s Fallen First Responders who died protecting and serving our community.

A Tribute Team of runners, core relay team and support crew, comprised of active duty, reservists, retired veterans, first responders, Gold Star Family Members and patriotic Americans will embark on a 3-day journey from Fort Carson Colorado to Fort Logan National Cemetery. They will be stopping at each Hero Marker, approximate 1-mile intervals to Honor and Remember individually Colorado’s Fallen Heroes, calling out each Hero by name and paying tribute to their waiting Family and Friends of the Fallen.

On Sunday, September 11, the Castle Pines residents can cheer the runners or watch a commemoration at one of the stops as they make their way through the Castle Pines area.  The stops are roughly every mile, and include memorials with reading the names of fallen law enforcement, service members, and Kendrick Castillo. View the full route here. More information can be found via the Run for the Fallen news release.
