All Castle Pines Parkway traffic lanes to open in both directions on Saturday, Nov. 19

November 17, 2022 at 3:07 pm

Crews will begin removing the remaining cones and barriers on Castle Pines Parkway, between Village Square Drive and Yorkshire Drive, on the morning of Saturday, Nov. 19. The complete reopening is expected to be ready by late afternoon. This transition is dependent on weather conditions. Traffic control will remain in place for lane closures on a portion of Lagae Road as crews complete final work items over the next week.

After the reopening, there will be temporary minor lane closures as crews wrap up work in the medians. However, this work will take place during the day to limit impacts during peak commute times and will only close small sections of traffic lanes on an as-needed basis. Additional landscaping work will be completed in the spring.

Work completed this year included several improvements that will benefit residents in the long term, such as:

      • Improved safety, mobility, and traffic operations in the Castle Pines commercial core
      • Expanding the Lagae Road intersection to provide additional turn lanes
      • Fixed drainage issues that have impacted the roadway for decades
      • Continuous six-foot bicycle lanes in both directions

Thank you for your patience throughout the duration of the project construction.
