Looking for ways to get involved and serve your community? Apply to serve on either the combined Planning and Zoning Commission/Board of Adjustment or the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

Planning and Zoning Commission/Board of Adjustment

The Castle Pines combined Planning and Zoning Commission/Board of Adjustment is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill vacancies. The Commission is a seven-member board comprised of Castle Pines residents and plays a direct role in shaping how the City evolves.

The Commission deliberates and makes recommendations to the City Council on land-use applications, proposed long-range policy planning documents, and zoning regulations. The primary responsibility of the Board of Adjustment is to hold public hearings on variance requests and consider appeals to interpretations made by City officials. Members serve two-year terms and are selected following a review of applications and interviews by City Council.

The Commission meets on the fourth Thursday of each month. Interested candidates should complete and submit an application by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023. Applications can be dropped off or mailed to the City offices (360 Village Square Lane, Suite B) or emailed to tobi@castlepinesco.gov.
