Meeting highlights from the May 24 City Council meeting include:
- Approving a Memorandum of Understanding for the formation of The Douglas County Economic Development Collaborative. The Collaborative will represent Castle Pines to help attract business investments to the community.
- Approving a Castle Pines Wildfire Mitigation Plan. This plan is not a mandate but provides suggestions and advice for property owners and HOAs throughout the City.
- Presentation and City Council discussion to advance efforts for the Gateway Project at I-25 and Castle Pines Parkway. The project will contribute to creating a sense of place and community and is part of the Council's 2022 Priorities.
- Adoption of a Castle Pines-specific Grading, Erosion, and Sediment Control manual.
