Meeting highlights from the September 27 City Council meeting include:
-
-
- Approving an ordinance to create a stormwater utility enterprise and associated fund. The stormwater enterprise will oversee the operation and management of the City's stormwater assets. This includes current assets in the south and east of the city. It will also include assets that are currently managed by the Castle Pines North Metropolitan District following the completion of an intergovernmental agreement between the City and the Metro District. The enterprise fund, with funds collected via a city-wide stormwater utility fee, will serve as a dedicated funding source for future stormwater system operations and maintenance.
- Approving an ordinance to amend the requirements for dumpsters that need a right-of-way permit to be located in the public right-of-way. Dumpsters five cubic yards in capacity or larger will require a permit to be located in the public right-of-way. This will help protect public roadway assets by limiting future damage.
- Approving the city manager's employment contract.
