Single traffic lane in each direction to open on Castle Pines Parkway on Thursday, Nov. 10

November 3, 2022 at 10:39 am

Crews will open a single lane of traffic on both eastbound and westbound Castle Pines Parkway beginning Thursday, Nov. 10. Crews will work overnight to set up the new traffic pattern before the Thursday morning commute. This transition is dependent on weather conditions over the next week. During this time, the interior lanes in both directions, next to the median, will remain closed so crews can complete final work items, including striping, median work, landscaping, and irrigation. Completing final work items now will limit lane closures in the spring. Some final landscaping items, including vegetation replacement, will take place in the spring when warmer weather allows.

Currently, the project is expected to be substantially complete with both lanes of traffic open on both eastbound and westbound Castle Pines Parkway during the later part of the week of Nov. 14. An additional communication will be distributed before the final reopening. After the reopening, there may be temporary minor lane closures as crews wrap up work in the medians. However, this work will take place during the day to limit impacts during peak commute times and will only close small sections of traffic lanes on an as-needed basis.

*Please note that all final work is subject to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
