Melissa, her husband, and two sons moved to Castle Pines four years ago from Hawaii when her husband retired from the Navy. As a military family, they moved seven times in seventeen years. Castle Pines was the ideal place for them to call home. She is looking forward to raising her two sons here and setting down roots.
Melissa has always been in a service related career field. Volunteering has also been a part of her service to others. She volunteered helping sailors and marines with the Navy Marine Corp Relief Society and continues to volunteer with the Parent Community Alliance and School Accountability Committee at Rocky Heights Middle School. She is also a docent at Cherokee Castle and a merit badge counselor with Castle Pines Troop 316. Serving her community is the next step for her to give back.
She is very interested in the future growth and development of Castle Pines. The small town feel and wonderful amenities are what attracted her here. She is looking forward to serving the residents of Ward 1. She hopes to be able to contribute to city council and learn more about our city government.
Melissa started her own business, Yes You Can Professional Organizing L.L.C. upon moving to Colorado. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, reading and traveling. She also enjoys exploring her new state of Colorado.
