Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Department
The Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Department oversees the planning, programming, maintenance, and operation of parks, recreation, trails, and open space facilities throughout the community. The City manages nearly 60 miles of trails, 122 acres of parks, and more than 1,850 acres of open space.
Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board (PRAB) consists of five members and serves as an advisory board to City Council and the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Department regarding the development, expansion, and operation of parks, recreation, open space, and trail facilities in the City of Castle Pines. PRAB holds public meetings, and members are appointed by City Council for three-year terms.
