About the Project

The City of Castle Pines is creating an Economic Development Strategic Plan to help guide how the community grows and invests over the coming years. The goal is to support a strong, sustainable, and vibrant local economy that benefits residents, businesses, and future generations. This plan will help the City make thoughtful decisions about land use, development, public investments, and partnerships, while protecting the character and quality of life that make Castle Pines special. It will provide a roadmap to guide future decisions.

This plan is about making smart choices today to ensure Castle Pines remains a great place to live, work, and do business, now and for years to come.

Why is it important?

Castle Pines is growing and changing. This plan will help answer important questions such as:

  • What does our local economy look like today?
  • What kinds of businesses and jobs make sense for Castle Pines?
  • How can we attract the right development without losing what residents value most?
  • Where should the City focus its time, energy, and resources?

What is the project scope?

The Economic Development Strategic Plan will:

  • Evaluate Castle Pines’ local and regional economy.
  • Identify opportunities for new businesses, redevelopment, and job growth.
  • Explore how I-25 shapes connectivity and access across the community.
  • Recommend strategies for attracting the right kinds of development.
  • Outline short-, mid-, and long-term actions for the City.

How can I get involved?

Community input is a key part of this process. The consultant team will work closely with residents, businesses, property owners, City staff, City Council, and the Castle Pines Planning Commission to shape the plan. This will include interviews, meetings, community open houses, and on-the-ground observations to understand real-world conditions across the city.
