The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board held a meeting on April 16. Meeting highlights include:
- An update from Hord Coplan Macht about the Phase 1 improvements to Coyote Ridge Park and the Soaring Hawk Park Master Plan.
- A discussion and recommendation to the City Council to extend the park reservation cancellation policy to 10 days rather than the current 48-hour cancellation policy. City Council will review the recommendation at a future City Council meeting.
- A discussion and recommendation to move the elk statue at Elk Ridge Park to a new location to avoid future vandalism. Staff will prepare options for the new location and present them at a future Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meeting.

About the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board
The City of Castle Pines Parks and Recreation Advisory Board makes recommendations to the City Council on issues related to parks and recreation, including legislative policies, the City’s Parks and Recreation Comprehensive Plan, as well as policies for the acquisition, development, and improvement of recreation facilities. The Board consists of five residents from various backgrounds who are appointed by the City Council. The Board meets on the third Thursday of every month at 4:30 p.m. in the Castle Pines Library, 360 Village Square Lane in Castle Pines, or virtually.
