About City Council Meetings

The regular meetings of the City Council are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Douglas County Library, 360 Village Square Lane, Event Hall. The public is encouraged to attend and participate in these meetings. Anyone who wants to address the Council may do so during the public comment period at the regular meetings of the City Council.  Public comment is limited to three minutes per person.

Study sessions are held, as needed, at 5:30 p.m. on the first, second, and fourth Tuesdays of each month. Study sessions are informational meetings and differ in several ways from the regular City Council meetings. While the City Council may give direction to City staff, no votes are cast, no formal action is taken, and there is no public comment during the study session.

City Council Swearing-In Ceremony

Join City Council for a swearing-in ceremony for the Mayor and City Council Members elected during the 2025 City Council election. Outgoing Council Members will also be recognized for their contributions to Castle Pines.

About the Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment

The City of Castle Pines Planning Commission deliberates and makes recommendations to the City Council on land-use applications, proposed long-range policy planning documents, and zoning regulations. The Commission consists of seven residents from various backgrounds who are appointed by the City Council. The Commission meets on the fourth Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m. in the Douglas County Library, 360 Village Square Lane in Castle Pines.

The City of Castle Pines Board of Adjustment holds public hearings on variance requests and considers appeals to interpretations made by City staff. The Board of Adjustment is comprised of the same members as the Planning Commission and meets on the same meeting days, as needed.

Coffee Klatch with Tracy

Join Mayor Tracy Engerman for "Coffee Klatch with Tracy" at The Exchange Coffee House from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 11. Swing by for a quick chat, to ask questions, to learn more about upcoming City activities, or to just say "hello." We'll see you there!

"Coffee klatch" originates from the German word "kaffeeklatsch" and refers to a gathering of friends over a cup of coffee.

Holly Jolly Brunch

This annual event is a community favorite. Come spend time with Santa, enjoy a gourmet brunch, listen to a reading of The Night Before Christmas, and sit on Santa's lap so you can tell him what you really want for Christmas!

A limited number of reservations are available, so grab your tickets soon. Three separate seatings are available: 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m. Tickets are $65 per adult (13+), $39 per child (2-12), and free for infants (under 2).

Holiday Carriage Rides

Tickets for this event are sold out. Join the waitlist by visiting the link below.

Bundle up and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa on a holiday carriage ride through Castle Pines.

Tickets are $15 per person. Rides are available every 30 minutes from 4-8 p.m. Be sure to register all members of your party to ensure there is enough space on the carriage for everyone. You may purchase up to eight tickets per reservation.

Holiday Bingo Night

Join us for the Holiday Bingo Night.  This festive event promises fun for the whole family!  Participants can look forward to exciting rounds of bingo with special holiday-themed prizes awarded to the winners. It’s a perfect opportunity to gather with friends, family, and the community for an evening of laughter, friendly competition, and holiday cheer.

There will be two bingo sessions: 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. You may reserve up to 8 spots per reservation.

 

Gingerbread House Decorating

This event has reached capacity, so tickets are no longer available.

Step into a magical world of sugary delight at our Gingerbread House Decorating event, perfect for kids and families seeking festive fun!

Each house designer will have 90 minutes to create something sweet to take home and display for the holiday season. Three decorating sessions are available: 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 2 p.m.

Cost is $20 per gingerbread house. One ticket is needed for each house that you would like to decorate.
