Ben has lived in Colorado since 1998, since moving here with his wife, Heather. After starting a family in Colorado, they moved to Castle Pines with their three daughters in 2014.
Ben has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years, and since the move to Colorado has worked in the healthcare nonprofit organization world. His career focus has included work in government and public affairs, professional certification, and efforts to improve operating room safety, and to increase access to insurance coverage and care in the State. He believes that the knowledge gained through years of work in public policy translate well towards the work of the City Council, focused maintaining the amazing feel of our city and considering the Castle Pines of the future.
The small town feel of Castle Pines, and the friendliness of the neighbors before they had even bought their home are the things that drew Ben and his family to the City. Now, Ben states, he’s thrilled at the opportunity to serve his neighbors in Ward 2 and the rest of the City, by bringing the interests of maintaining that atmosphere to the table. At the same time, Ben recognizes the challenges the City faces as it grows, and is firmly committed to working with all towards solutions that work for Castle Pines.
In his downtime, you’ll find Ben and his family enjoying Colorado’s best resource, the outdoors. All are avid skiers, and enjoy hiking, travel, and all things Colorado when summer forces them off the slopes.
