Crews continue to work on the Monarch Boulevard reconstruction project between Castle Pines Parkway and Glen Oaks Avenue. The project remains on schedule and is expected to be completed in September.
A major focus this week is the installation of the new water line in partnership with the Castle Pines North Metropolitan District. The new line will replace a major water line that dates back to the mid-1980s. Completing both the road and water line projects at once saves both money and time by reducing the need to remove infrastructure to replace the line in the future.
- This project includes improvements such as:
- Complete concrete roadway tear-out and replacement with asphalt
- Stormwater infrastructure and drainage improvements
- Safety enhancements
- Six-foot bike lane
- 4,300 feet of new water line by the Castle Pines North Metropolitan District
