The Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) recognized Castle Pines City Manager Michael Penny with its Distinguished Service Award at the annual DRCOG awards celebration. The event, themed “Innovate, Collaborate, Elevate,” marked DRCOG’s 70th anniversary as the region’s metropolitan planning organization.
City Manager Penny was recognized for his long-standing commitment to regional collaboration, fostering partnerships, and enhancing the quality of life in the communities he has served throughout his municipal government career. The Distinguished Service Awards honor individuals who have contributed to the success of DRCOG programs and initiatives to enhance and protect quality of life.
