The Castle Pines City Council held a meeting on March 24. Meeting highlights include:
- Approving a resolution accepting the withdrawal of the Crowsnest Annexation Petition, imposing a stay on future annexation applications for at least 120 days, and directing staff to begin a process to develop an annexation policy that includes public engagement.
- Approving an intergovernmental agreement with the Mile High Flood District for a Stream Conditions Assessment and Project Prioritization.
- Approving a construction contract with Schmidt Construction Company for the 2026 Pavement Maintenance Program.
- Approving an agreement for services and equipment with Colorado Barricade Co. for on-call striping and pavement marking services.
- Vacating the previously scheduled public hearing related to the initial zoning of the Crowsnest property.
- A study session on electric vehicle safety and a potential ordinance.
