May 15 Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Meeting Agenda Now Available

The agenda for the May 15 Parks & Recreation Advisory Board meeting is now available. The meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m.

Parks & Recreation Advisory Board meetings are held as hybrid meetings, with both virtual and in-person attendance options available. Meetings are held at the Castle Pines Library Event Hall (360 Village Square Lane). Register to attend the May 15 meeting virtually.

About the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board

The City of Castle Pines Parks and Recreation Advisory Board makes recommendations to the City Council on issues related to parks and recreation, including legislative policies, the City’s Parks and Recreation Comprehensive Plan, as well as policies for the acquisition, development, and improvement of recreation facilities. The Board consists of five residents from various backgrounds who are appointed by the City Council. The Board meets on the third Thursday of every month at 4:30 p.m. in the Douglas County Library, 360 Village Square Lane in Castle Pines, or virtually.

May 13 City Council Meeting agenda now available

The agenda for the May 13 City Council Meeting is now available. The study session will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the regular meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m

City Council meetings are held as a hybrid meeting, with both virtual and in-person attendance options available. Meetings are held at the Castle Pines Library Event Hall (360 Village Square Lane). Register to attend the meeting virtually.

About City Council Meetings

The regular meetings of the City Council are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Douglas County Library, 360 Village Square Lane, Event Hall. The public is encouraged to attend and participate in these meetings. Anyone who wants to address the Council may do so during the public comment period at the regular meetings of the City Council.  Public comment is limited to three minutes per person.

Study sessions are held, as needed, at 5:30 p.m. on the first, second, and fourth Tuesdays of each month. Study sessions are informational meetings and differ in several ways from the regular City Council meetings. While the City Council may give direction to City staff, no votes are cast, no formal action is taken, and there is no public comment during the study session.

May 8 Planning Commission meeting agenda now available

The agenda for the May 8 Planning Commission meeting is now available. The Commission will hold a virtual Special Meeting to continue discussions about the Unified Land Development Code Process. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. Register to attend the meeting virtually.

About the Planning Commission/Board of Adjustment

The City of Castle Pines Planning Commission deliberates and makes recommendations to the City Council on land-use applications, proposed long-range policy planning documents, and zoning regulations. The Commission consists of seven residents from various backgrounds who are appointed by the City Council. The Commission meets on the fourth Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m. in the Douglas County Library, 360 Village Square Lane in Castle Pines.

The City of Castle Pines Board of Adjustment holds public hearings on variance requests and considers appeals to interpretations made by City staff. The Board of Adjustment is comprised of the same members as the Planning Commission and meets on the same meeting days, as needed.

This annual event brings neighbors together for an evening of live music (featuring Darling Revival), food, kids' activities, vendor booths, a laser light show, fireworks (weather and fire restrictions permitting), and more!

Castle Pines Rueter-Hess Day

August 4 Update: Registration has closed as all spaces have been filled. 

Sunday, August 10 is Castle-Pines Day at Rueter Hess! Castle Pines residents are invited to spend the day kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, or simply enjoying a picnic or hike near the water. (Maximum capacity has been reached for fishing, so that activity is no longer available.)

You can use your own water equipment or rent it in advance here. (Click on the Castle Pines Partner Day option.) Please note: Lifejackets are required for all water activities and can be rented in advance using this link if needed.

Castle Pines residents are invited to enjoy a mid-week summer break during the Summer Splash Water Day! Get ready to glide down the free water slides and frolic in an epic foam party! It'll be a day filled with laughter, splashes, and unforgettable memories. A live DJ and food trucks will be available when you need a break.

Participants under 18 must be supervised by a parent or designated guardian during the entirety of the event. Children cannot be dropped off.

All participants must complete a waiver in advance of event. Those under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

2025 Summer Concert Series: Boogie Machine

The Summer Concert Series features free concerts from local bands at Coyote Ridge Park. Bring your lawn chair and get ready to groove! (Note: this concert is from 5-7 p.m.)

This concert will feature music from the 70s disco band Boogie Machine. Check out their website for a sneak peek!

The Summer Concert Series features free concerts from local bands at Coyote Ridge Park. Bring your lawn chair and get ready to groove!

Food Truck Frenzy

With more than a dozen food trucks on site, there's sure to be something for everyone! Enjoy pizza, burgers, hot dogs, desserts, and more while rocking out to live music by Fireball Daddy. Craft beer, wine, and activities for the kids will also be available. It's the perfect way to kick off the summer!

Teen Pickleball Power 1.5 Hour Series

Is your teen looking for something fun to do this summer? Kids ages 12-16 are invited to participate in Teen Power 1.5 Hours at Coyote Ridge Park from 12 - 1:30 p.m. Whether they're aspiring pros or have never even picked up a paddle, they'll have a great time playing and meeting new friends on the court!

May 1 Planning Commission Meeting Canceled

The previously scheduled May 1 Planning Commission meeting is canceled. The Commission's next meeting is currently scheduled for May 8. A new agenda will be distributed before the meeting.
