Parks & Recreation Advisory Board Meeting Wrap-Up for January 15

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board held a meeting on January 15. Meeting highlights include:

  • An update from Hord Coplan Macht on the future Soaring Hawk Park, including early design concepts, phasing options, and cost estimates.
  • Approving a recommendation to the City Council for a trail connection between Trail #17 at Coyote Ridge Park and the staircase adjacent to the Monarch Boulevard and Buffalo Trail roundabout.
  • The board requested additional landscape design options for the Monarch Boulevard and Buffalo Trail roundabout.
  • The trail naming process for public trails in the community was continued to the next meeting due to time constraints.

About the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board
The City of Castle Pines Parks and Recreation Advisory Board makes recommendations to the City Council on issues related to parks and recreation, including legislative policies, the City’s Parks and Recreation Comprehensive Plan, as well as policies for the acquisition, development, and improvement of recreation facilities. The Board consists of five residents from various backgrounds who are appointed by the City Council. The Board meets on the third Thursday of every month at 4:30 p.m. in the Castle Pines Library, 360 Village Square Lane in Castle Pines, or virtually.p.m. in the Castle Pines Library, 360 Village Square Lane in Castle Pines, or virtually.
