Slash Collection Day

Gather any tree limbs, prunings, pine needles, or other yard debris and bring them for free disposal during the City's Slash Collection event.

All vegetation is allowed. Please limit the diameter of trunks or limbs to less than 16 inches. No lumber is allowed, and please ensure there is no metal (nails, screws, etc.) or rocks in the materials you drop off.

"Slash" is debris from nature, such as tree limbs, prunings, and pine needles. If not removed, slash can increase potential fire hazards on your property. Removing slash and creating defensible space around your home is the first line of defense against wildfires.

Summer Splash Water Day

Castle Pines residents are invited to enjoy a mid-week summer break during the Summer Splash Water Day! Get ready to glide down the free water slides and frolic in an epic foam party! It'll be a day filled with laughter, splashes, and unforgettable memories. A live DJ and food trucks will be available when you need a break.

Participants under 18 must be supervised by a parent or designated guardian during the entirety of the event. Children cannot be dropped off.

IMPORTANT: All participants must complete a waiver in advance of event. (Those under 18 must have the waiver signed by a parent or guardian.)

Drive-In Movie

Gather your family, friends, and neighbors for a night of nostalgia, where classic drive-in fun meets modern-day cinema for an unforgettable evening under the stars! We'll be watching Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they track a pit viper across Zootopia in the film Zootopia 2. 

Parking opens at 5:30 p.m.; movie starts at 7 p.m. Location is future Soaring Hawk Park (east of the Canyonside Boulevard and Cross Canyon Trail intersection in The Canyons.)

Cost is $10 per vehicle. Space is limited - get your ticket now! (Tickets are per vehicle; NOT PER PERSON.)

 

 

Party in the Park

This annual event brings neighbors together for an evening of live music, food, kids' activities, vendor booths, and more! It will also feature "Stories in the Sky", a spectacular drone show to celebrate Colorado's 150th and America's 250th birthdays! "Stories in the Sky" is a signature initiative of the America 250- Colorado 150 Commission and is sponsored by Chevron, Tallgrass, UCHealth, and the Colorado Lottery in partnership with the Colorado Tourism Office. 

An In-N-Out food truck will be at Party in the Park, and you can pre-order meals. Choose from a hamburger, cheeseburger, Double-Double, or grilled cheese. All meals include chips and a drink. Rueter-Hess Day

Sunday, August 9 is Castle Pines Day at Rueter-Hess! Castle Pines residents are invited to spend the day at Rueter-Hess kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, or simply enjoying a picnic or hike near the water. (Capacity for fishing has been reached, so that is no longer available.) You may still register to enjoy other activities at the Reservoir.

You can use your own water equipment or rent it in advance onsite. Please note: Lifejackets are required for all water activities and can be rented in advance using this link if needed.

2026 Summer Concert Series: Concert #3

The final show of this year's Summer Concert Series will feature a fan favorite - The Long Run, playing all of our favorites from The Eagles. Bring a blanket or some lawn chairs to "Take it Easy" while enjoying some great tunes. (Note earlier time than previous concerts - this one will be from 5 - 7 p.m.)

2026 Summer Concert Series: Concert #2

This show will feature the band Narrow Gauge - an award-winning Colorado country and rock cover band, known for their energetic performances. Bring a blanket or some lawn chairs, even though you may not need them because you'll probably be dancing most of the time!

Coffee Klatch with Tracy

Join Mayor Tracy Engerman for "Coffee Klatch with Tracy" at The Exchange Coffee House (1415 Westbridge Drive) from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 9. Swing by for a quick chat, to ask questions, to learn more about upcoming City activities, or to just say "hello." We'll see you there!

"Coffee klatch" originates from the German word "kaffeeklatsch" and refers to a gathering of friends over a cup of coffee.
