Digital Accessibility Statement
The City of Castle Pines is committed to providing digital services that are accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines. Our goal is to deliver a web experience that achieves “Level AA” conformance according to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines v2.1 (WCAG 2.1).
In the meantime, to accommodate all individuals and ensure accessibility to the public, we have staff ready to assist you to access all functions of the city’s website and other technology by calling 303-705-0200. We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our digital platforms and request for accommodations.
Website Assistance
If you need assistance with a website function, please call 303-705-0200 Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon, and a representative will be ready to assist you.

Within two (2) business days after receipt of the issue/request, a City staff member will contact the person initiating the issue/request to discuss the problem and the possible resolutions.
If the response by the City staff member does not satisfactorily resolve the issue/request, the submitter or their designee may submit a grievance through the City Attorney’s Office.

Quarterly Progress Update for Q2 2025
- Allyant Web Scan report revealed accessibility score of 91%.
- Staff member assigned to overseeing compliance efforts for the city's online resources and documents continuing ongoing training.
- Completed inventory of pdfs on website; prioritization for remediation in progress; began remediation process for documents in "phase one" category.
- Continued to add alt text language to images on website.
- Regularly utilizing Non-Visual Desktop Access (NVDA), WebAIM's contrast checker, and other automated and manual testing tools to evaluate compliance as part of ongoing testing.
- Gathering VPATs (Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates) from all third-party vendors whose services include posting public facing resources to City's website.
- Created and implemented social media accessibility best practices. Began process of updating posts dating back to July 1, 2024 to present.
