Carriage Rides

All time slots for this event are currently full.

Bundle up and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa on a holiday carriage ride through Castle Pines. Advanced ticket purchase is required for this event, and carriages will fill up quickly. Be sure to register all members of your party to ensure there is enough space on the carriage for everyone. Adult tickets (ages 12+) are $10, and child tickets (ages 0-11) are $5. Rides are available every 30 minutes from 4-8 p.m. You may purchase up to eight tickets per reservation. Due to limited capacity, all ticket sales are final.

Holiday Movie Night: The Santa Clause

Bring the whole family and get cozy under the holiday lights for a festive evening watching The Santa Clause! Enjoy the magic of the holidays with hot cocoa, warm blankets, and snacks to munch on while we journey with Scott Calvin through his hilarious and heartwarming adventure as he becomes Santa.

This special night promises fun for all ages—whether it's your first time watching or part of your yearly tradition. So, put on your comfiest pajamas and get ready for a night filled with holiday cheer, laughter, and a sprinkle of North Pole magic!

Doors open at 5 p.m., with the movie beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person. Due to limited capacity, all ticket sales are final.

Tree Lighting

Get ready for the Tree Lighting Celebration!

Join us on Friday, December 6, at The Ridge Golf Course from 5-7 p.m. as we celebrate with a tree lighting ceremony.

At this event, you will be able to…

      • Meet and greet Santa and his reindeer, take photos, and share your holiday wishes
      • Hop on an enchanting train ride
      • Enjoy carolers and immerse yourself in the joyous sounds of the season
      • Warm up with a delicious cup of hot cocoa
      • Stroll through a magical path lined with sweet surprises and festive decorations
      • Enjoy local talent showcasing seasonal music and dance

Bring your friends, family, and neighbors to share in this spirited event! The tree lighting will occur at approximately 6:45 p.m., with a drone light show to follow (weather and conditions permitting).

VIP Experience

Enjoy a VIP experience during the Winter Wonderland Tree Lighting Event. You and your family will start your night off with a VIP parking space in The Ridge parking lot, followed by food and festive cocktails inside. You can go into the clubhouse as you would like throughout the evening. Use the clubhouse to get warm, freshen your drinks, use the restrooms, and enjoy a little time with your family. This VIP experience will make your spirits bright!

An Adult VIP Pass ($75) includes exclusive access to the clubhouse, a light buffet dinner, a hot chocolate bar, dessert, and two spiked holiday drinks.

A Child VIP Pass ($50) includes exclusive access to the clubhouse, light buffet dinner, hot chocolate bar, and dessert

Each purchase will receive one VIP parking pass to use on the night of the event.

VIP passes are limited, so make sure you reserve your spot early! Due to limited capacity, all VIP ticket sales are final.

VIRTUAL MEETING - Castle Pines Urban Renewal Authority: Tenant and Property Owner Meeting

The City of Castle Pines is pleased to announce the online application process to request financial assistance from the newly formed Castle Pines Urban Renewal Authority (CPURA). The City formed an urban renewal authority in 2023 to support investment in the Castle Pines Village Square area by existing businesses and property owners.

CPURA will utilize tax increment financing to reinvest existing taxes into the Village Square area. The effort will focus on helping private sector investors who want to enhance their properties with improvements to existing properties and infrastructure, to incentivize top-tier and intentional development, and to add to the sense of community in Castle Pines Village Square.

The City invites tenants and property owners to learn more during a virtual meeting on Wednesday, November 6 at 6:30 p.m. Register to attend below. A meeting link will be sent out to registrants via email.

Leaf and Pumpkin Composting

Castle Pines residents are invited to recycle leaves and pumpkins for composting on Saturday, November 2.

Have fun with your leaves, jump on them in piles, or re-use them in bags for Halloween props to help us crush them! Next, bring the leaves in large paper bags that you will keep after emptying your leaves. No bags will be accepted at the event. All leaves will be dumped out of bags.

Leaves are collected and used by local farms as a soil amendment and need to be as clean as possible. No garden waste, large brush, branches, or tree stumps are accepted as part of the leaf collection event (no commercial landscaping).

The event is free to Castle Pines residents!

Castle Pines Pumpkin Race

Join us for the third annual Castle Pines Pumpkin Race! This Fall Fest event gives you the chance to design and create your own pumpkin "race car" to compete against other Castle Pines residents. You can either bring your decorated pumpkin, complete with wheels, or purchase a racing kit to pick up from the Castle Pines Municipal Office. Need to purchase a kit? Register and purchase a kit to participate. After purchasing a kit, it can be picked up from the City offices at 7437 Village Square Drive, Suite 200. Offices are open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1-4:30 p.m.
