Happy Canyon Interchange Open House

Safety improvements are coming to the Happy Canyon Road and Interstate 25 (I-25) interchange in Castle Pines. The proposed improvements, consistent with the City of Castle Pines Comprehensive Plan and Transportation Master Plan guidance, will also improve traffic operations, connectivity, and regional mobility, as well as support local community growth. This project also aligns with the Board of Douglas County Commissioner’s Core Priority to provide a reliable multi-modal transportation network. This project is identified in the County’s 2040 Transportation Master Plan, and it’s one of the County’s priority projects as identified in the County’s current 5-Year Capital Improvement Program.

Join the project team for a public open house on Monday, March 31, from 4:30-6:00 p.m. at the Castle Pines Library Event Hall (360 Village Square Drive) to learn about the proposed design. During the open house, you’ll have a chance to:

VIRTUAL MEETING - Castle Pines Urban Renewal Authority: Tenant and Property Owner Meeting

The City of Castle Pines is pleased to announce the online application process to request financial assistance from the newly formed Castle Pines Urban Renewal Authority (CPURA). The City formed an urban renewal authority in 2023 to support investment in the Castle Pines Village Square area by existing businesses and property owners.

CPURA will utilize tax increment financing to reinvest existing taxes into the Village Square area. The effort will focus on helping private sector investors who want to enhance their properties with improvements to existing properties and infrastructure, to incentivize top-tier and intentional development, and to add to the sense of community in Castle Pines Village Square.

The City invites tenants and property owners to learn more during a virtual meeting on Wednesday, November 6 at 6:30 p.m. Register to attend below. A meeting link will be sent out to registrants via email.

The City is pleased to be a partner to our private sector property and business owners in creating a vibrant and dynamic community hub. Visit the CPURA webpage for more information about the CPURA.
